Saving time and money is always a good thing.
I love the smell of air fresheners and candles. They are relaxing and calming, something needed after a long day’s work. They are also great to have on hand to freshen up the house when you find out you’re having some unexpected guests arriving in just a few minutes and you just finished dinner and haven’t had time to actually clean yet.
Here is a quick and easy recipe for a fake febreze. I came across it on another blog (http://starneslifefamilylove.blogspot.co.uk).
- 1/8 cup (2 Tbs) fabric softener
- 2 Tbs baking soda
- Hot tap water
- Empty 27 oz spray bottle (I use an empty febreze bottle)
Pour the fabric softener and baking soda into the bottle. Fill with hot tap water. Shake well.
With all the different scents of fabric softener out there the possibilities for fragrances are endless. I personally prefer the original Downy. I think it smells most like Febreze.
